These are very strong 3/16" thick aluminum with stainless steel gimbal bolt. Powder coated black with a foam padding 3/4" thick for comfort! 3 clip in hole locations each side of both size plates. Big game fishing tested/proven onshore and offshore by Coastal Worldwide!!!

Premium build quality

I bought a few surf rod holders and a dehooker. I am impressed with the build quality, premium materials and the expert welding that went in to their fabrication. The price is very reasonable for what you get. I believe these items are best in class. I can’t wait to build a fishing cart with them in the future!

Best spike I have ever used

I have been round and round with sand spikes. Tried tubes, cheap, expensive, plastic,… all kinds. The Deerfield open 2.0 is the GOAT. The open top design is secure, and fast when snatching up long handle surf rods. The rods don’t get hung up trying to remove them from a tube. The spike itself is beefy and strong. The foot post and angle of the tip make sinking it into the hard shell filled Texas sand a breeze. Have 2 now, ordering 2 more and will be getting a few of the HD shark spikes too.
TLDR: Best spike on the market. Get it, you will not be disappointed!!
